You and I We’re standing here In the darkness Rain is falling Wind is blowing Us away You and I We’re standing here In the silence And eavesdrop with a shallow breath We’re standing In the dark cold bitterness Of an endless winternight But we’re hoping To find a way together To get there The place where we find peace You and I We’re hearing In the silence A crack Which leaves us afraid Are this these monsters? Are this these monsters? Which will find us And try to bring us back So we’re running Away.
2.
Ivory tower Delusion that we’re living In the sky We are enthroned Far from the ground Where other humans die There are droughts Storms Oppressors And floods Wars Over force And scarce resources Homeless and pursuits They cry for help We refuse to listen.
3.
There are days I feel so tired When I look outside It’s dark and grey Like I feel inside There are days I feel like we stuck We run and run But time runs up There are days I see no sun We need a change Soon as we can Cause our system destroys the earth Our hope for living Which gave us birth But when I look at you I see the sun Watching from the space On a warm safe place Where hope ain’t gone.
4.
Drunkin’ nights floating Still same to do The times are changing Thinking ‘bout you The wall with the pictures Colours the same A hand on the shoulder Is playing the game Stardust Is falling On Wednesday For the heroes Of yesterday Endless roads walking Dust in the mind You try to consider That life is unkind The wall with the pictures Colours the same A hand on the shoulder Is playing and playing and playing and playing the game Stardust Is falling On Wednesday For the heroes Of yesterday

El sol siempre sale El sol siempre se occulta Al sol no le importa Si nuestro mundo Se va a a acabar

about

Dearest friends,

we are so proud to present to you our next release and it could not be more emotional and important than this time! Our long-standing friends and companions Landhouse & Sima created this beautiful unconventional EP consisting of 5 songs which partially deal with the situation according to the European refugee policy and how we treat our planet.

For this reason all earnings will be donated to Sea-Watch.

The idea for this project emerged in 2014 facing the humanitarian catastrophe of thousand of people dying in Mediterranean.

In spring 2015 they bought an old cutter and rebuilt it for sea rescues. With the help of numerous volunteer activists, who are building the project in Germany and those who have been crew members since June 2015 in the Mediterranean between Lybia and Italy, they have been able to save thousands of people.

Approximately, 25 people are forced to flee every minute, half of them are children under 18. 4 out of 5 refugees continue to live in the neighboring country of their home country.
There are many reasons why people have to flee: wars or conflicts, which in many cases are carried out with weapons from Germany, persecution and displacement, but also extreme poverty and natural disasters.

In many poor countries, the economic situation has deteriorated sharply because rich countries like Germany export cheap EU-subsidized food such as meat from the worst factory farming around half the world to these countries and thus destroy the local economy and the livelihood of the people in these countries.

Added to this are the fatal effects of the climate catastrophe, which was largely caused by the global north and is already having the worst consequences in the global south: Droughts, floods and other heavy weather conditions make it impossible for people to get food or drinking water and in a few years, cities with millions of inhabitants will be flooded by rising sea levels.

We contribute to the destruction of the basis of peoples existence in the global south in many ways and do nothing to change it. At the same time we isolate ourselves completely and make it almost impossible that people who are forced to flee can reach our country and have a chance for a reasonable normal life. 84 % of the refugees live in developing countries. Turkey alone, which acts as a gatekeeper for the EU due to the dirty EU-Turkey deal has been taken in much more refugees than all EU countries combined.

Successful migration policy in Germany is not measured by how well people who are in need are cared for and integrated, but by the fact that as few people as possible make it to us. Which is why attempts are being made to make the flight enormously dangerous, even more than the alternative of remaining in misery in one’s own country or in the overcrowded camps in Libya, which the Federal Foreign Office itself says are “similar in concentration camps”. There are numerous reports of illegal pushbacks and emergency calls from inflatable boats in distress, which are simply ignored or passed on the Libyan coast guard, who then partially shoot the boats and drown the people or bring them back to their camps, where rape and torture is high on the agenda.

The EU does not abide by its own laws. There are even reports that direct orders from the Prime Minister’s Office of Malta intercepted boats and brought them back to Libya, which is against international law and caused the death of humans.
The ships of the new European naval mission “IRINI” will be relocated to another area of operation for up to 8 days if refugee boats increasingly move in their direction so that they do not encounter a boat. Otherwise they would be obliged to save these people and bring them to the next port, which in the eyes of the governments must be prevented. So they rather let them die in order to scare other people off, which isn‘t working because people are living in such terrible conditions, they are willing to risk their lives to cross the lethal ocean.

There are new estimates by the UN migration authority that more than 20.000 refugees have died in the Mediterranean since 2014.
And no, they are not victims of a natural disaster, they are victims of misguided political decisions. There are 20.000 lives lost from whom the vast majority could have been saved if we had only wanted it politically.
